Daz Studio 3/4: render hangs at “compile shaders” ?
No CommentsWritten on June 22, 2011 at 9:10 am , by adminThis is an annoying bug affecting mostly OSX versions, and it’s still under investigation by the folks at Daz. When you render a scene, if you get DS hanging at “compiling Shaders” (see image below), just hit cancel and follow these instructions: 1) select an item surface and open the Shader Mixer. 2) there (see more info

I’m currently working on a alligator 3D model, completely built from scratch in ZBrush and Lightwave. Base mesh is done, and I think I will need another couple of days of sculpting, before I can start the final stage of texturing the model. Here is a screenshot taken in ZBrush, and also a turntable animation. more info
New Poser/Daz model under development: Tenochtitlan
No CommentsWritten on February 13, 2011 at 7:05 pm , by adminI recently watched some documentaries about the Aztec, and I was very intrigued about their civilization and how the capital city, Tenochtitlan, was depicted. It is said that when the “conquistadores” arrived there, they thought they discovered paradise. I started searching all possible references about this amazing city, and started to model it, beginning from more info

The development of the Ursus Arctos product is finally completed. I spent last two weeks doing some fine tunes and corrections to the body shape, adjusting some areas of the fur and checking joints and rigging functionality. The Ursus Arctos is now finely tuned for both Poser and Daz Studio, and comes with several morph, more info

Silently and slowly, I finally came up with this new Poser character. Still quite some work to get done to make the fur look really good, mostly “combing” hair, adjusting tufts orientation, and experimenting with shaders to get a nice fur look. White fur is indeed the most difficult to make look good … More more info
Grizzly + Kodiak Poser model finally ready !
No CommentsWritten on May 18, 2010 at 5:08 pm , by adminIt took about a month to design this model from scratch: I started with ZBrush, modeling the bear body and creating a base texture. I used several pictures as reference to get the body anatomy more close to reality as possible. Lot of attention was paid in detailing teeth, eyes and claws. After that I more info
