Daz Studio 3/4: render hangs at “compile shaders” ?
Written on June 22, 2011 at 9:10 amThis is an annoying bug affecting mostly OSX versions, and it’s still under investigation by the folks at Daz. When you render a scene, if you get DS hanging at “compiling Shaders” (see image below),

just hit cancel and follow these instructions:
1) select an item surface and open the Shader Mixer.
2) there (see image below), click the Surface Preview button: the compile shader popup window will appear, saying “compiling shader x/y”. If it hangs, press cancel and then click the Surface Preview button again (but usually you need to do that only once), until the shader compile operation gets finally completed. When that’s done, you can close the Shader Mixer, and now you can finally render the scene.
